KOBOLD’S DAF paddle wheel flow indicator is recommended whenever optical flow indication (no flow measurement) is required. The construction of the DAF is simple. A rectangular housing with two opposite, transparent windows contains a paddle wheel which is set into motion by the flowing medium. The clearly visible rotating wheel indicates flow. Flow values are varied by changing the intake port orifice, thus allowing use of the same housing for all ranges. The instrument can be installed in any position. Flow, however, must be in the direction of the arrow on the housing. Connections are available in 1/8” NPT up to 1-1/2” NPT. Choice of materials is nickel-plated brass or stainless steel. The device can be turned along its long axis even during operation. This allows the windows to be aligned for optimum visibility.
