The DVK series digital flow meter is ideal for measuring low and medium air flows where monitoring flow setpoints is required. The DVK operates on the calorimetric principle. A thermal sensor is heated to a few degrees above the gas temperature. As the gas flows across the sensor it cools the sensor. The amount of cooling is proportional to the velocity of the gas flow and the flowrate. By measuring the rate of cooling, the flowrate can be accurately determined. The calorimetric principle measures flow with no moving parts which makes the DVK extremely reliable. The flow-through design has a minimal pressure drop. The units feature an LED flowrate display and two PNP transistor switches with programmable setpoint and hysteresis. Versions with compact or remote mounted sensors are available.
