MID Magnetic-Inductive Flowmeter

MID - Magnetic-Inductive Flowmeter

The KOBOLD series MID magnetic flowmeter operates on the magneto-inductive principle. With no protrusions into the pipe, the MID can measure conductive liquids and slurries with virtually no system pressure loss. The MID has an accuracy of +/- 3% of reading and can measure flow rates to 14.5 GPM in ½” pipes up to 149,000 GPM in 40” pipes. The MID features an LCD rate/total display and both frequency and analog output. The MID offers five different liner materials and five different electrode materials to accommodate a wide range of applications.    more...

SM Series Variable Area Flowmeters

SM Series - Variable Area Flowmeters

Have you ever wanted the simplicity and cost-effectiveness of a variable area meter, but the larger size made it impractical? Have you ever wanted a variable area meter, but with one or more switch points? Have you ever wanted a variable area meter, but your flow direction was horizontal or top-to-bottom? If any of the above applies to you, KOBOLD has the answer plus more in our versatile SM variable area flowmeters. How about a nice easy-to-read pointer indicator? How about an all metal body with pressure ratings up to 3600 PSIG in brass and 5000 PSIG in stainless steel? How about more than your standard 10-to-1 turndown? The SM series (SMV, SMW, SMF, SMO) does it all.    more...

RCM Direct Reading Flowmeter

RCM - Direct Reading Flowmeter

KOBOLD's RCM direct reading flowmeter is suitable for monitoring low to medium viscosity liquids and gases in 1/4" to 8" pipes. This meter was developed for industrial flow metering applications in which durability and reliability are important considerations. The RCM features a rugged, compact construction, low cost and minimal maintenance. Typical applications include: lube oil and cooling water monitoring, blending processes, reverse osmosis systems and compressed air measurement.    more...

RCD Differential Pressure Flowmeters

RCD - Differential Pressure Flowmeters

The new RCD series differential pressure flowmeter measures flows of liquids and compressed gases using the orifice principle. The orifice, located in the flow body, generates a differential pressure which varies with flowrate. The differential pressure is applied to a measuring bellows. The measuring bellows is linked either to a mechanical indicator, or to a hall effect sensor, which is input to a compact or full featured electronic display and controller. The unique KOBOLD design features a single measuring bellows making its accuracy unaffected by system pressure fluctuations. All versions are manufactured with a measuring bellows made of 316-Ti stainless steel, making the bellows extremely strong and resistant to wear. The meter movement is a single fulcrum lever design, which is simple, yet very reliable with a minimum of wear parts. The RCD is available with bronze or stainless steel bodies ranging in size from 1/2" NPT to 3" NPT. The various electronic display and control units offer a variety of options such as digital or bargraph displays, adjustable switches and flow transmitters.    more...

Production Capacity Expanded for NBK Bypass Level Gauge

NBK - Production Capacity Expanded for NBK Bypass Level Gauge

KOBOLD Instruments Inc. has expanded production capacity at its Pittsburgh factory to include all sizes of the NBK bypass level gauge, Mini-NBK economical level indicator and the NBK-04 tank-top mounted level indicator. The NBK provides a visual indication of the liquid level in a tank. The NBK can also be equipped with switches for high and low alarms and with a transducer for continuous level measurement with a 4-20 mA output signal. NBK-03 and NBK-06 series units are available with either NPT or ANSI flanges and will accommodate pressures up to 580 PSIG and temperatures up to 750°F.     more...

Compact Local Electronic Display

AUF - Compact Local Electronic Display

KOBOLD's AUF universal display unit, usable in all 4-20mA transmission circuits, is completely powered via the 4-20mA loop and is fully scalable. Programming is simple, via two pushbuttons located beneath the display cover. Programming capabilities include scaling, decimal point location, damping and optional switch output. Programming information resides inside the AUF's nonvolatile EEPROM memory, making the unit immune to power failures for up to ten years.     more...

Paddle Wheel Flow Sensor

DF - Paddle Wheel Flow Sensor

Have an application that requires precise measurement and control of liquid flow? KOBOLD's DF sensor with accompanying electronics offers you a number of features, such as an analog output, adjustable switches, batch controller or a totalizer.     more...

Compact Paddle Wheel Flow Sensor

DFT - Compact Paddle Wheel Flow Sensor

The new DFT series of compact paddle wheel flow sensors offers the same rugged reliability of the workhorse DF series in a compact, more economical design. The DFT uses an inlet nozzle to re-direct flow onto the paddle wheel thus eliminating the need for any straight pipe requirements. The DFT has a broad measuring range from 0.02-0.14 GPM up to 0.5-12 GPM.     more...

Positive Displacement Flowmeter

DRZ - Positive Displacement Flowmeter

The new KOBOLD DRZ rotary piston positive displacement flowmeter combines economy with high performance. The DRZ is designed to measure any clean liquid with lubricating properties and viscosity ranging from 5 to 10 centistoke. The unique design uses a single piston rotating on a camshaft to meter a precise volume of liquid with each rotation of the piston. A Hall effect sensor detects the piston rotation and the signal is converted to a pulse output, analog output or switch output based on the model ordered.     more...

OEM Pelton Wheel Flow Sensor

DTK - OEM Pelton Wheel Flow Sensor

The new KOBOLD DTK pelton wheel flow sensor is designed for the high volume OEM market. This compact sensor requires no inlet or outlet straight piping runs so it can be installed in locations where space is at a premium. The DTK generates a pulse frequency which is directly proportional to flow rate. The pelton wheel design provides a very repeatable and linear output.     more...
